hi!! a crazy Saturday night over here – i ate a bowl of popcorn for dinner while watching The Office and washed it down with some protein hot cocoa! Honestly, this is my kind of Saturday night. I wanted to pop in and share our little honeymoon from earlier in the week. Leon and I got married last Sunday (2/20) and I cannot wait to share the photos with you all! It was truly the most beautiful and magical day. Our wedding was so special and the perfect representation of our love! Here is a sneak peek photo by my beautiful friend Brenda…

For our honeymoon, we booked a little getaway to Nashville for a few days. The cafe is SO close to opening and we did not want to be away too long. We are going to take a longer honeymoon in October when things settle down! We stayed at the Fairlane in Nashville!

I am not one to leave negative reviews, but we weren’t really fans of this hotel! The only things loved were the room, the views, and the ability to walk downtown easily.

Everything was so beautiful though! It was very mid-century modern 🙂 I loved all the decor and Leon loved all the plants they had! LOL.

Waking up next to my HUSBAND on Monday was the most incredibly feeling. I was not prepared for the overwhelming feeling I would experience! I already loved Leon but getting to be his wife is just a whole other level of happiness!

He makes me so happy 🙂

We spent the day venturing around Nashville! Our first stop was bagel sandwiches! We should have split one because they were HUGE and we each ate half. There was no where to re-heat the bagel at our hotel so we had to throw them out – it was quite tragic.

The rest of the day we walked around downtown drinking beer, eating SO MANY fries, and people watching. We laughed and talked and just enjoyed being together, stress free! When I say we ate so many fries, I meant it. We both didn’t think it was possible to be so sick of potatoes. LOL. When we got back to the hotel we had the BEST surprise – my aunt and uncle sent us this amazing arrangement to our room! It was the perfect treat to snack on each day! I am craving more just looking at this!

I woke up early before Leon each day so enjoyed my book while drinking the world’s worst cup of coffee…I learned my lesson after this cup – to walk across the street and get Starbucks!

We were not impressed with our fancy dinner at the hotel on Monday, so I asked Leon where he wanted to eat on Tuesday – he said The Cheesecake Factory since he had never been! I know there are so many amazing local places in Nashville but I wanted to make my husband happy and so I happily obliged to The Cheesecake Factory. Our food was amazing and the service was incredible! We had the best time!

See, I learned my lesson – Starbucks to start the day!

On our way out of town we stopped at a local juicery for breakfast! I sipped on juice and then we split toast and a chocolate protein shake. It felt so good to get some nutrients in my body! We are completely alcoholed out ! And we only had 2 beers the whole trip. LOL.

It was SO NICE to make dinner at home with our 3 dogs on Wednesday night. We snuggled up on the couch and watched our favorite show while just enjoying being husband and wife <3

I woke up early Thursday morning to make breakfast, work on some emails I had missed, and get in a good workout!

Our wedding cake topper finally came in too! Haha! Just a few days too late… that’s okay though! We picked up this plant in our hotel lobby to remember our honeymoon and so we put the cake topper in the plant. I LOVE it 🙂 That is all I have from our short and sweet trip. It may have been a short trip, but it was nice to escape before the madness of the cafe sets in. Plus, I loved getting to spend time with my husband! Man, that just feels awesome to say. I got my first piece of mail today that said Anastasia Pendley and I got so giddy! Have a happy weekend friends 🙂
