Good morning pretty people – I am snuggled up on the couch with our space heater blasting and a hot cup of coffee. The cold weather seems to be here to stay in Kentucky and I am ALL FOR IT! I love the cold weather. I will take sweaters, lots of layers, and boots over shorts and a t-shirt any day! It’s been a few weeks since we last caught up. Lots of things have been happening! To be honest, I sat down to write a blog post several times, but then walked away from my computer feeling defeated. I was really struggling with my body image for a few weeks and it really messed with my head. I knew I couldn’t write a fun and up-beat blog post when I was feeling pretty crappy. Once I finally started to feel like myself again, I got sick! I have been suffering with a head cold all weekend and week and it has definitely taken a toll on me! My nose is officially raw from blowing it every 2 seconds. I managed to escape all of 2020 without getting sick once! But alas, here we are. This is what I get for not wearing a mask EVER. LOL. ….Please don’t persecute me for not wearing a mask. Ok? Ok.

Any who… look at these beautiful mums! We have a small farm stand in our neighborhood and they had the most beautiful mums and pumpkins. I couldn’t help but snag a few for our front porch! This cold weather also has me craving coffee at all times of the day. It’s great in theory, but I kind of feel like my heart is going to explode around 3:00 every afternoon so I should probably stick to 2 cups a day…or switch to decaf? Stay tuned on that journey…

So Leon and I have really been trying to budget! Also great in theory and way harder than it seems. We don’t really eat out a lot. My only thing is I go to Kroger every day and buy random things I think look good. Like Siete churro strips… a few weeks ago I decided it was time to get serious! Leon always supports me no matter if I spend $300 at the grocery store or $50. He’s a keeper. So I set a budget of $100/week and created a meal plan. We stuck to it!!! I was so proud of us. We are on week 2 of our budget and I am feeling pretty good about it!

I made us stuffed spaghetti squash one night with roasted veggies. I ended up re-purposing the veggies all week to make our dinners have more fiber + variety. We also at crock-post salsa verde chicken! (It was really yummy but photographed like cat puke so I spared you!) And I made a pumpkin oatmeal bake to eat for breakfast that was super yummy!!

A few Saturdays ago, my mom and sister and I went WEDDING DRESS shopping. Was it a good idea to chug a beer before trying things on? No. But that’s okay! I still had so much fun! And I was thrilled to be spending time with my 2 favorite ladies. I found the most perfect dress ever! I was not expecting to find a dress I loved so much. It was the TOTAL opposite of what I pictured but when I tried it on I immediately fell in love. Do any other brides after buyers remorse!? As much as I loved the dress, I was up all night tossing and turning with buyers remorse! I had to keep looking at the pictures of myself in the dress to remind myself why I chose it. I also stopped looking on Pinterest at other dresses. I still feel confident in what I chose and I cannot wait for Leon to see me in it!!! IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL! and it makes me feel so beautiful š I was even on my period and super bloated from that and the beer and I still felt like a million bucks – so imagine how I will feel on my wedding day!!

Side note…how freaking adorable is Owen?! I can’t handle his cuteness. He always keeps me company when I do workouts in our living room. Ah, who am I kidding? He ALWAYS keeps me company. He follows me all over the house and I love it so much.

I am still loving any and all workouts from @Rachaelsgoodeats on Instagram. If you don’t follow her or use her workout guides – you are missing out. I have seriously never loved HIIT workouts like I do hers! They make me feel so strong and confident and I genuinely look forward to working out thanks to her!

This past Sunday Leon and I went to church and then got brunch together at Spencer’s coffee shop downtown. We decided to check out Cafe Kindness too! We spent the rest of our Halloween snuggled up on the couch, napping, and then eating turkey chili + cornbread! We had ONE trick or treater and I gave them all of our candy because I was so excited HAHA!

And I have been drinking a lot of juice to *beet* (pun intended!) these sniffles. I am kind of feeling back to normal but I am still taking it easy. I hope you all have the most wonderful week! Thanks for stoping by the blog today š
