GOOD MORNING and happy Monday you pretty people you. I am currently drinking a large cup of coffee…only my 4th cup of the morning, so I am feeling pretty darn good. It’s been an eventful few weeks. For a while, I was doing nothing but crying. Like just crying all the time! I am a people pleaser. A MAJOR PEOPLE PLEASER. And this business has taught me one important lesson so far…you can’t please everyone. I can have 20 people tell me how awesome I am doing and then 1 person tell me how horrible I am doing and how I really need to step-it-up. Guess which one I have been listening to? That 1 person…

So I decided something after an encounter with a customer that left me in tears last week. I am done trying to please everyone. It is literally impossible! I was listening to the Casting Crowns song “Voice of Truth” and I realized the only voice that matters is God’s voice. And He has called me to do this. He has literally let things fall on to my lap. He believes in me. And that is all that matters! I am done with the tears (for now, anyways!) and I am going to work on setting boundaries with customers and myself! Look out world – I am here and I am standing up for myself! Because I am doing the best I can – and God thinks I am awesome. So that is all that matters. Right? Right!

Anywho….I had some exciting news to share via Instagram last week! Lettuce Attend Cafe + Kindness is officially in the works!!! I AM P U M P E D <3 If you are ever in Bowling Green, please stop by and see me!!!!! I would love it. I would probably cry if you told me you read my blog, but that kind of crying would be totally acceptable ok? Ok! I have so many yummy treats I want to make for you all! I want you to experience how easy and tasty healthy eating can be. And I want you to feel like you belong in my cafe. I want you to experience joy and kindness and just feel like you are in the right place! I never want anyone to feel like they don’t belong.
In other news, I got the opportunity to partner with Market Wagon and they send me all kinds of local goodies! Market Wagon transforms the farm-to-table concept into a farm-to-front-door reality. Its mission is to enable food producers to thrive in their local markets by operating as an online farmers market. Market Wagon partners with more than 2,500 local farmers and artisans to take their produce and products the very last mile to the doorstep of 45,000+ local customers. Use code MARKETWAGONKY to receive $20 off $40 on your first order as a new customer!

I have also been working on giving myself grace. I have been pretty hard on myself these past few weeks because I have been working constantly and not taking as much time to exercise. Exercising is such an important part of my lifestyle and I am having to remind myself that it’s okay that I don’t fit it in everyday. I am literally on my feet all day juicing or working and that’s hard work in itself! Whenever I do get in a workout, I feel SO SO GOOD. Endorphins are the best. I fit in a sweaty workout one day a few weeks ago and immediately had to get fix myself up to out to eat with the ladies of our church.
One Friday morning I biked to the gym in the crisp Fall air and it was GLORIOUS! I love this time of year!

One day I also got the chance to partner with Buff City Soap!!! I love it there.
God is so good. I tried to capture this beautiful Fall sunset one day! The picture doesn’t even do it justice.

We spent one day clearing out things from the cafe to prepare for demolition!

Thank goodness for my sweet fiancé who woke up at 4:30 one morning to deliver 166 bottles of juice to a local factory with me! I am a lucky one <3
I finally got the opportunity to make a nice home-cooked one evening. I don’t get to do this very often these day and man, was it wonderful! Don’t you just love roasted vegetables?!

The photo on the left is me having that day where I just cried every 5 minutes. It was rough!!! That night I decided I was over letting people dictate my emotions. The photo on the right is just some juice I think is real pretty 🙂
Can you even handle this picture?! There are few things greater than peanut butter and banana on toast!! It is just too darn good! This has been my go-to breakfast staple lately.

One evening I made stuffed acorn squash – it was damn delicious so I posted the recipe HERE.

Friday night I sold juice in our little town of Scottsville. I was so surprised at the amount of people who bought juice! It made me so happy! I got to reach a whole new kind of customer and it was the best!! I am thankful my family drove up to support me!
And then the next morning I was up and ready to go to the Farmer’s Market!!! I was happy to bring Zest back here! Zest used to be set up here years ago and it made me so happy to see how glad people were to have it back! Thank you to my mom for the best shirt ever 🙂
And I got to snuggle this cute little sheepadoodle!!!! I wanted to take her home!!! She was the sweetest little nugget!!!

Thanks for stopping by the blog today!!! I love you all! I am off to enjoy the week and continue working hard 🙂
