WE’RE ENGAGED!

OH HEYYYY, it’s me!!! LEON’S FIANCE! I am still on Cloud 9 about our engagement over here. Last Thursday we celebrated 1 whole year of being together and little did I know this handsome man was about to pop the question. I seriously had ZERO idea. It was a beautiful surprise 🙂

The day started out like any other…I woke up, drank coffee, got a workout in, and headed to work! We spent the evening loading up a cooler for Zest to use to store my juice and then we headed to our dinner reservations at Gerard’s Tavern (our FAVORITE restaurant!) at 7:00 PM. I was running a little late to dinner, so Leon arrived early and my dad dropped me off. I was talking to my dad about how it’s not everyday he gets to drop his daughter off for a date…he has a bittersweet expression and went on and on about how much he loves Leon and thinks he is such a wonderful guy. I was like “I know! I don’t deserve him!!”. I got out of my dad’s truck and literally skipped over to Leon. He looked so handsome waiting at our table outside. I couldn’t believe he snagged a table right next to the place I will be (God willing!) putting in my future cafe. We ordered drinks and an appetizer and Leon kept saying how he wanted to walk over to my future cafe building and peek inside since he hadn’t seen it yet. Me being me, I was like “Yeah, suit yourself, go see it!” LOL. He kept saying, “No, I need you to show me what your dream is!” I kept saying “Later, later, later I we can see it! It will still be there when we are done!” I AM THE WORST. LOL. Poor guy. He just wanted me to stand up!! Our drinks arrived and so did our appetizer. By the way, we ordered the Chicken Fried Nachos and HOLY CRAP…best appetizer…scratch that…BEST FOOD I have ever tasted. It was AMAZING. I found it odd the the Owner of Gerard’s kept coming out to check on us. I mean, he checked on us like 10 times and even though our sweet waitress (a friend from high school ironically!! HI CATRINA! 🙂 ) was doing just fine making sure we had what we needed. The Owner, Boris, kept insisting Leon get another drink. HAHA. Apparently he looked super nervous, but I am oblivious and just thought he was looking his usual adorable self. After inhaling a pound of chicken nachos, Leon got up and said “C’mon! Show me your vision with this cafe!”. I stood up and walked over to the windows with him, trying to explain how I wanted things when I open my own cafe. He pulled me into him and kept saying the SWEETEST THINGS! I won’t share here because I want to keep that memory locked in my mind for us only 🙂 I kept pulling away from him telling him “They are going to think we dine and ditched! We need to set down!!” LOL. Again, I know, I am the WORST! I finally gave in when Leon pulled me in and said “Just one more minute…” He told me some more sweet things and before I knew it he was DOWN ON ONE KNEE asking me to spend FOREVER with him!!!! I was so in shock!!! I, of course, said yes right away!!! You guys…this ring…it is the most beautiful ring I have EVER seen! He had it custom made with every little detail I have been blabbing on about for month’s now! He wanted to make sure this ring was unique and special and something we could pass down in our future family <3

I literally could not believe that we were now engaged!!! Next thing we know a photographer is coming out of no where saying my dad hired her to capture the whole thing! Apparently Gerard’s was in on it too!! Everyone knew but me! LOL.

We spent the rest of the evening calling our families and I kept screaming “WE’RE ENGAGED!” every 5 minutes. HAHA. I am still freaking out over here that I get to spend FOREVER with the one I love the most. I never knew someone could love me so well. No one has ever supported my dreams the way Leon does. He is my biggest cheerleader and I like to think I am his too. He is my BEST friend. I still can’t believe he proposed to me right in front of the place I will be making my cafe dreams happen!!! Neal Turner Realty should really use these photos as a marketing campaign LOL. I can’t wait to share the wedding planning process with you! This blog has seen all of my highs and ALL of my lows. I am so thankful God placed Leon in my life. My FUTURE HUSBAND! I can’t even. I am so excited!! I love you guys – thanks for reading about our engagement! I am off to admire my ring so more and drink my coffee!!
