Hey, hi, hello! Listen, it’s been a WEEK! A rough one. How did I go from writing all about how blessed I was to having a rough week? I am still very blessed, beyond blessed! But life has a funny way of throwing curve balls that leaving you sitting on your couch saying, “what the heck just happened?!”. Thank God for my wonderful boyfriend, wonderful family, and wonderful friends. I have had a few unexpected life events occur this past week and even though I had some not-so-fun things happen and some really awesome things happen too!

But lettuce go back to a few weekends ago… I have been going through my Stephanie Plum novels so fast! I am already on 21 since this picture was taken. Also, my new favorite snack is cheese and pretzels!!
We had the opportunity to celebrate my sister’s 21st birthday at Top Golf in Nashville! We had such a great time even though is pretty hot outside!
My summer afternoons / evenings have involved lots of reading and sipping on these Truly punches. I highly recommend this book, Early Morning Riser! I read it in just a few days, I couldn’t put it down!

Leon and I have been loving making Hello Fresh meals for dinner. It’s such a fun way to learn to cook different things and also not have to worry about what to make for dinner since everything is delivered to your doorstep!

One day at work we had a branch meeting / going-away party for a coworker so I brought fruit! How good does this look?! I love fresh fruit in the summer!

I went over to my parents house one night for dinner and to spend time with my sister. She spent some time with me while Leon was at work because I was having a ROUGH day. I was so happy to reunited with Oslo!!!!! I love him so darn much! He is the sweetest little guy. And I am so thankful my sister spent some time with me and made me feel better.

I can’t remember which night this was but we had salmon, rice, and carrots one night. I could eat salmon for literally every dinner! It’s one of my favorites for sure!
I have been loving my Rachael’s Good Eats workouts too! I typically do 5-6 workouts a week and rest when needed. They are such a fun challenge! I highly recommend her Good Sweat guides.
How stinking cute are our dogs?! I love them so much!

One night for dinner I made Leon and I some roasted potatoes with my new favorite seasoning! I picked this seasoning at the Farmer’s Market and it is SO GOOD – it has all my favorites: nutritional yeast, dill, and yellow mustard. I roasted the potatoes on 425 for about 35 minutes and then squeezed lemon over them when they were done. DELICIOUS!
We also had side salads (with Leon’s fresh tomatoes!) and pork chops.

One day this past week I also had a working lunch at a local restaurant in Franklin, KY. I got the club wrap and homemade chips…darn, this was SUPER tasty. Definitely check out Tanglewood if you are in the area.

The rest of the week was filled with seeing Leon’s family, finding out about an AMAZING opportunity (please pray for me!), FaceTiming sweet friends, and relaxing at home. Guess what?! We FINALLY got our fence put up too! I literally cried watching the boys run free in the backyard. Such a sweet moment. I am hoping to record a podcast for you guys today too! Just to talk with my friends and update you more on some life things 🙂 I hope you have the BEST weekend! I am going to post a recipe this weekend too…so stay tuned for that! LOVE YOU.
