Oh, hello there friend! It’s been a while. Will I ever start a blog post where I don’t say it’s been a while? Probably not. I tend to keep making these blog posts few and far between. Sorry about that! Life has just been so wonderfully busy. Here are a few things I have been up to:

Ever since we started living together, Leon and I would eat a Mexican-inspired dish almost every night. It was always ground beef or turkey with some sort of taco seasoning. Not that I am complaining because Mexican-inspired dishes happen to be my favorite! But it was getting pretty repetitive. I decided to take my mom up on her offer for a few Hello Fresh free meals. We have been eating those this week and it’s been such a nice change of pace! One night we had Asian beef bowls and another night we had mozzarella meatloaf! You’ll see a picture of those later in this post. It’s nice not to have to think about what to eat for dinner!
If you follow me on Instagram, you probably saw me go on and on and on about this basket wall! Well, I am still obsessed. We even added a hanging jar full of fresh, local lavender to the wall but I forgot to snap a picture of that. I got all of these baskets at my new favorite place – Fox in the Hole! That store is seriously what my dreams are made of! I could spend HOURS in there.

How pretty are these flowers Leon picked up for me at the local Farmer’s Market? There are few things I love more than fresh flowers.
He has also developed a green thumb and has taken up gardening as a hobby! He has been making the outside of our home look so cute and dreamy with all the fresh plants and flowers! He is pretty obsessed with it but I don’t mind because it’s kind of cute 🙂

Last Saturday morning I took these two boys for a 3-mile walk around town! They were such good boys! These two have the most energy so I felt like they needed a longer walk.

When I got home I had a cup of coffee, a scrambled egg, two turkey sausages, and a slice of sourdough bread!

Leon and I spent the rest of the day tending to things around the house. It was so nice just staying home! When he left for work I made a pan of nachos and then later a protein mug cake!
For breakfast on Sunday I headed to my parents house. After giving them a hard time for eating breakfast without me (!!!) my mom made me the best french toast on sourdough bread. Thanks mom 🙂

We went to church and immediately had to leave because Mother Nature came in full force and I was NOT prepared. LOLOL. TMI? Probably but oh well.
We spent the rest of Sunday being lazy and it was awesome. I headed to watch some coworkers play softball in the evening and my parents and I got ice cream afterwards. I almost never eat ice cream (because I am more of a chocolate chip cookie or brownie kind of gal) but this totally hit the spot! I forgot to snap a picture but my mom made the BEST MEATLOAF ever for Sunday night dinner. She smoked the meatloaf for like 4 hours and goodness it was INCREDIBLE.

On Monday, Leon and I ate an early dinner before he headed into work. We had sesame beef bowls and they were delicious! After my food digested I did an at-home workout!

It wasn’t the most intense workout ever but it felt good to sweat a little!

Tuesday night I worked out at my parent’s house after work and then ate dinner with them. This rainbow stayed with me the whole way home. It was amazing! God is so good.

Wednesday morning I was up and ready to spend time with JESUS. I have been pretty consistent waking up and spending time with Him. My goal is to start reading the Bible more. So, if you have any kind of guide you recommend for reading the Bible, let me know!

Wednesday night was a much needed date night with Leon. We made those mini-meatloaves and parked ourselves on the couch to watch Virgin River season 3! I cried the first 3 episodes…why is that show so sad ? LOL.
Any who, it’s been a weird few weeks. Everything is fine and all, I just haven’t felt quite like myself. I go through high’s and low’s of being super confident to have low self-esteem. I am hoping I snap out of quick because it is NOT FUN. Luckily, the love of my life tells me how beautiful and smart I am literally all the time. I have NO idea how I got so lucky. He’s my number one fan and it’s pretty freaking awesome. I am blessed beyond belief.
Well friends, enough of that ranting about “woe is me”. I hope your day is AWESOME! I can’t wait to fill you in on my weekend 🙂
