These past few days have been so wonderful! I am currently snuggled up with my boyfriend while we watch Longmire and the snow/sleet comes down outside. I took this as a perfect opportunity to blog about what I have been up to! We started off our Valentine’s day weekend with chocolates from Mary Jane’s! He picked these up for me on Saturday and I managed to get through them all by the end of last night 🙂 I can’t even choose a favorite because they were all delicious!
On Sunday morning I picked up Valentine’s day gifts for everyone, taught my Sunday school class via Zoom, and then whipped up a Valentine’s day breakfast for my Valentine! I made scones out of the Kodiak Blueberry protein muffin mix and they turned out GREAT. I made an icing out of Swerve and heavy cream.

A little while after breakfast we got ready to go hang out with my family for a while!
We ate popcorn and played Monopoly Deal. I LOVE spending time with them 🙂 And Owen loves running around in their yard and barking at everything in sight!

I had made dinner reservations for us at Gerard’s Tavern weeks ago because it is our FAVORITE restaurant in Bowling Green. We have never had anything bad there or ever experienced bad service. Everyone is always so friendly and the food is always incredible!

We started with drinks! An old fashioned for him and a ginger gin fizz for me.

We also had a jalapeño crab dip as an appetizer! It was SO GOOD!

For our entrees we decided to share! I ordered the Chimichurri steak with Yukon fries and brussels. He ordered the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and peas.

And then we shared a brownie and ice cream for dessert 🙂

He also picked me up these beautiful flowers!

I think I ended up having 1.5 drinks and I had a small glass of peanut butter whiskey before we went to dinner. Soooo, 2 drinks in a 3 hour time period? And guess what, I am NOT feeling good. LOL. I never drink any more so just the smallest amount of alcohol makes me feel terrible. I woke up this morning, guzzled some water with ibuprofen, and made some coffee.

About an hour after I woke up I had some more of the scones I made with a cup of blueberry greek yogurt.

We are supposed to get quite a bit of sleet and snow today so I wonder how bad the roads will get. Wherever you are, I hope you stay nice and warm 🙂
Thanks for stopping by the blog today!
