There are few things that I love more than Saturday mornings. Maybe Sunday mornings? I am up early (per usual) with the dogs and a fresh pot of coffee and I am ready to write! Mornings are just my absolute favorite. It’s the only time of day I have all to myself and it’s usually the time I do the things I love most…drink coffee, blog, snuggle my dog, read, and do my devotional. Sometimes I workout too. But what I have discovered is since the morning time is so sacred to me, working out in the afternoons allows me to create separate time for myself later in the day that I may need! And trust me, I usually need it! LOL. Rant over!
This week was a great week! My prayers are with everyone suffering from the ice storm or do not have shelter during these ridiculously cold temps. I feel so grateful for all the many blessings in my life and this week, I tried not to take advantage of that!

Lettuce take this recap back to earlier in the week! I met up with one of my friends for coffee on Tuesday and it was so good to see her!! We hadn’t seen each other in a few weeks and it always makes me happy to see others so happy.

For lunch I had a quick wrap! Turkey, coleslaw, spinach, and mustard all wrapped up.
A few hours later I snacked on supremely spicy hummus and cheese/crackers. We are obsessed with this hummus right now! It is ridiculously good! I also picked up this candle at Kroger and it smells so good 🙂

I had class Tuesday night and I can’t seem to get through it without coffee! Who am I kidding? I can’t get through any afternoon without coffee! Especially with it being 23 degrees outside.

Can you even handle his cuteness?!?!?! I can’t. Be warned, there are so many pictures of my bestest furry friend in this post!

We kept it simple for dinner with salad, chicken nuggets, and sweet potato fries!

I was up early on Thursday morning to sip on my coffee and do my devotional. I didn’t have to be at work until 10 so I took my time. For breakfast I had 2 eggs + 1/4 C egg white with white cheddar cheese!

After work, I came over to my boyfriends to drink some coffee before my run!

I finished a quick 3 miles run/walk on the treadmill! These colder temps leave me wanting to spend less time in the gym and more time in my pj’s 🙂 I used to feel so guilty about that!! Now, I just embrace my body’s desire for REST.

LOOK AT HIM!!!!! *insert all the heart eye emojis!*

I had a Parish Council meeting for church that I logged on to and then we had dinner. I had put chicken and salsa in the crock pot all day so we enjoyed that over rice with guacamole and a side of powerade 🙂

I fell asleep early as we watched our show and was up super early the next day to get ready for work. Look at this note I woke up to!!! Ladies, never settle for anyone who doesn’t treat you with love, respect, and kindness. This may not seem like a big deal to a lot of people, but having the coffee ready to go WITH A NOTE is like my love language all tied into one. The funny thing is, I was once reading one of my favorite blogs a few years ago and her boyfriend did this for her. I remember thinking to myself “I want to be with someone who does those little things”. I never told my boyfriend that and then this happened! I am the luckiest girl in the world 🙂

Coffee was enjoyed with a quick Owen snuggle 🙂

For breakfast I had a cheese, egg, and bacon breakfast burrito! I usually drink coffee for the first few hours of the day and then eat around 9 at work!

I picked up a library book to read too! I used to LOVE this series in high school and I am so excited to read the series again. There are so many books and this author is hilarious!

I went home early and we picked up coffee at Q and headed to Wal-Mart for dinner ingredients and few other snacks. I had a cappuccino with an extra shot and it was heavenly! He had a chocolate covered strawberry latte and I can confirm it was just as delicious and sweet as it sounds!

For dinner I made us pizzas while we watched Longmire. I used an Italian and Herb Flat out wrap with pizza sauce, turkey pepperonis, cheese, and pineapple. I also made a side of broccoli! Before I put the wraps on the cookie sheet to bake, I spritzed the pan with olive oil spray and put down some garlic powder. I baked them for about 15 minutes on 425.

And what night wouldn’t be complete without popcorn and M&Ms?! My new favorite popcorn is the Skinny Pop microwavable bags. I fell asleep around 8:30 and then woke up to watch a few more episodes before officially crashing at midnight. Say a prayer for my boyfriend’s sister! She was hit in the head pretty bad by a board that fell off their ceiling and had to go to the hospital!
Thanks for stopping by the blog today – enjoy your weekend and stay warm!!!
