Hello, hello – Merry Christmas! Christ is BORN! How are you guys?? Me? I am wonderful. I am snuggled up on my parents couch with a cup of coffee, the Christmas lights on, and Owen by my feet! I am ready to have a peaceful and relaxing Saturday.

Christmas is truly my favorite time of the year! I love the special treats (like the gingerbread scone above!) and decorating every little nook and cranny (like my office at work!). This year I not only got to celebrate with my family but his family as well – which was truly wonderful!
Last weekend we went to Madisonville to celebrate with his family. We even went to see some Christmas lights in Owensboro. I love this picture of us 🙂 We both LOVE Christmas and Christmas lights!!

On the Tuesday before Christmas I wrapped up the book I have been reading (so GOOD by the way) and then I headed to his house to spend some time together watching Virgin River season 2 and eating Rafferty’s. We had been watching Yellowstone (our favorite) and Virgin River is definitely a huge contrast, LOL.
Wednesday I worked from home – I don’t think I snapped any pictures! So lettuce move on to Christmas Eve. I was up early to drink coffee and read.

Then I got ready and headed to Royal Hours at Church 🙂

When I got home I changed into comfy clothes and hung out with my family. My mom made her infamous snowball cookies which I happily ate alongside some coffee.

Christmas Eve evening we got all bundled up and headed to church. We ended up getting home around 9:20ish so we put on our Christmas PJ’s, I made some tea, and we watched a Christmas movie.
Christmas morning was so peaceful! I was the only one awake for a little while so I made coffee and put the cinnamon rolls in the oven.

Christmas morning really is so magical. I feel so incredibly blessed to have such a loving and caring home. I definitely don’t deserve it – these people are EVERYTHING to me. I couldn’t imagine a better family. Of course I had to snap a picture with my little Owen boy – excuse his indecency LOL.
Christmas morning breakfast was PERFECT – homemade cinnamon rolls with coffee/white chocolate icing, bacon, and eggs 🙂

MY PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!

We took our time opening gifts and ended around 1ish. I poured my mom and I a glass of wine while I munched on popcorn, smoked cheese, and crackers. The smoked cheese was made by one of my dad’s Bosnian friends and it is heavenly!

My mom and I made mini apple pies for dessert later that night 🙂

We all successfully stayed in our PJ’s all day!! And then we feasted on an incredible MEAL! I need to recreate my sweet potato/brussels sprouts dish because it was AMAZING.
And the night ended with my book, coffee, and dessert while my family watched a movie in the background. What a truly wonderful and terrific day. Thank you Jesus for another wonderful Christmas season 🙂
