Good morning to all you lovely humans out there. Fair warning, this post is LONGGGG. Like, super long. Like the movie “Gone With The Wind” long. But there’s no intermission so if you need a break, feel free to take one. So grab some coffee and get ready!
Is it bad that my roomie and I are THRIVING during the quarantine? Listen. I know that there is a lot of fear in the world. People are passing away from the COVID, there are jobs being lost, families struggling, etc. But Rach and I are choosing to see the positive in each and every experience. And quarantine 2020? A hella positive experience. What a great time to SLOW DOWN everything. To really take the time to ask yourself, what is it I am working towards?
In other news, our eating game has been ON POINT. Do people still say “on point”? I am. Because it is oh so very true. Above would be an epic pizza one of my friends made quarantine. He even made a secret homemade sauce that he won’t let me in on… *insert eye roll*. HAHA
I had also been on a yogurt kick for a long time. I haven’t had any in a while…the above picture is making me miss it. That would be homemade granola you are seeing. I need to recreate that and post it for you all! It was peanut-buttery of course 🙂
I have also been spending a lot of time with my family during this time. You all may not agree with that but none of us have been exposed to the virus so we are soaking up time together. One night we had burger, sweet potatoes, mac n’ cheese, salad, and my mom’s homemade bread!
One way to stay positive during all of this? Add fun things to your routine! Roomie and I have been having Friday night date nights so that we can dress up and remember we know how to look pretty! LOL.
One night we had salmon, asparagus, and rice. Other times we have Mellow Mushroom as you can see below. 🙂
Did you think I forgot about Mr. Owen? NEVER. He’s been thriving too. He has been getting more walks and runs in since that’s just about the only exercise I feel like doing these days to get some fresh air.
Another delicious meal at my parents! Salmon salads!
Also, how freaking cute are these overalls?! I AM OBSESSED. I got them at Lou and Shea Boutique and they are just about the comfiest thing I own now. I may wear them today….
One night sweetie and I (when I say sweetie, I mean roomie. And roomie is Rach. Bestie is also Rach…basically if I am ever talking about anyone on here, it’s Rach because we are quarantined together LOL!) That was a long tangent….I meant to say Sweetie and I made pork taco bowls!!!
We’ve also been running the stadiums to get some exercise in a few times a week!!
One night we also made tuna steak salad bowls. SO GOOD!!!!! Also…see that wine? Quarantine 2020 has turned me into a slight alcoholic I think. I’ve been drinking way more than usual. But I could quit at anytime, unlike coffee…I can’t quit that…so I’m definitely not an alcoholic but 1000% coffeeaholic.
Just me and my overalls 🙂
Here’s Owen again…do you think he’s tired of me yet? Lol
We have also been killing the breakfast game….LOOK AT THIS MASTERPIECE !!!!
And this one…. OMG OMG OMG.
And this one…..CHUNKY MONEY PANCAKES WITH A WHITE CHOCOLATE / CASHEW BUTTER DRIZZLE.
And then one night Sweetie made big chicken salad bowls!
Another Friday night date night…I wore this sweater from Lou and Shea and thought I was so clever for walking around saying “I wear my heart on my sleeve.”
Look at this cutie on our date night!!!!
And another one of Owen…yep, he is definitely over me taking his photo.
I will leave you with the advice to hit up Q Coffee if you are in Bowling Green because their coffee and bagels are still phenomenal and they need our support during this time!
Sending you all the love during this time!! Thanks for stopping by the blog!!!!!!
