Pumpkin Spice Egg Nog French Toast…say that five times fast 🙂
Let me just tell you, this recipe is GOLDEN! My mom and I went to Aldi the other day when I spotted this organic pumpkin spice bread. I instantly threw it in our cart thinking I would just toast it with some butter. Next thing I knew I was tossing almond milk egg nog into our cart when I thought to myself…”this would make EPIC french toast”.
And just like that, this beautiful recipe was born. French toast immediately takes me back to my childhood so this recipe has me feeling all kinds of nostalgic. It’s also like eating Fall on a plate so…you’re welcome.
This recipe is by no means healthy, but I kind of love that about it. More maple syrup please!
Enjoy 🙂Â
Pumpkin Spice Egg Nog French Toast
- 1 loaf of Organic Pumpkin Spice bread (found at Aldi!)
- 1/2 C almond milk egg nog (I also found this at Aldi!)
- 2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 3 organic eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- maple syrup
Whisk together egg nog, pumpkin pie spice, eggs, and vanilla extract. Heat a pan on the stove to medium-high heat. Spray with olive oil. Soak individual slices of bread in the egg mixture. I whisked the egg mixture in a bowl and then poured in a pie pan to make soaking the bread easier! Place the bread on the pan and cook until each side has the egg mixture cooked. Top with all the maple syrup!!!
The only thing that would make this recipe better…..BACON.
This looks delicious!
