Yay, yay it’s Fridayyyy! Do you remember that song “Friday, Friday, gotta get down on Friday, everybody’s looking forward to the weekend, weekend?” Probably the worst song ever but it was played repeatedly my 7th grade year and occasionally gets stuck in my head anytime says the word “Friday”.
Not the point of this post.
Anyways, I have a short and sweet (literally) post for you all today! 99% of the time grocery stores carry sugar-loaded, pricey trail mix that should not be worth your time. Instead, you should make your own trail mix!
…A.K.A make THIS trail mix!
This is my go-to trail mix and it all comes together in 2 minutes flat. It has just enough sweetness to taste like dessert without making you feel sick to your stomach.
Does anyone else pick only the M&M’s out of the classic monster trail mix? Well, you won’t want to just pick the chocolate out of this one! Each little piece pairs together nicely with everything else inside this lovely treat.
Another perk? It travels well! Pack it to campus, work, hikes, etc.

Sweet Tooth Trail Mix
- 2 C roasted & salted cashews
- 2 C raw almonds
- 1 C dried cranberries
- 1 C coconut chips (found at most grocery stores – I used Dang.)
- -1 C dark chocolate morsels (I used Enjoy Life!)
Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl and store in an airtight container.
