helllooo friends and happy Wednesday to you! how are you?!
I have been SO GOOD. Seriously. I thought I would be in some state of mourning but I have been packing each day with lots of things to do so I am staying busy. Being busy takes my mind off of everything going on so it all works out.
Lettuce start things up where I left them last Wednesday. I enjoyed a BIG kale salad with salmon at work. I would say it was delicious but I got the stomach bug the next day so looking at this still makes me a little queasy.
Also, last Wednesday was NATIONAL PUPPY DAY! (does anyone else feel like there is a national something or other everyday?) Of course I snuggled my sweet pup Owen. He brings me so much joy. I like to carry him around the house like this and sing to him. He is my legit child and he is growing up SO FAST!
Thursday I had the stomach bug. Cool.
Friday I woke up feeling like a new woman again! I had my protein shake to get the day going!
A little later in the morning I met up with the SWEETEST HUMAN TO EVER EXIST: Holly Pickerel. We met up and chatted about everything! Such a kind soul she is.
I had half this parfait and half of the coffee because I couldn’t stop talking long enough to eat it all! haha!
I worked a little in the afternoon and my kind and amazing boss/mentor/friend gave me some oils to try and to get me through this stage in life.
SURRENDER • FORGIVENESS • HOPE
Natalie and I also talked about April goals for my business . Shelley also came by to talk with me and we caught up on everything life. She is such a sweet friend!
When I got home I downed some pretzels and hummus since I skipped lunch and it was already 5:30! I then took Owen on a long walk because I may have eaten WAY TOO MANY pretzels. Oh well, that’s life.
I checked the mail when I got back and an incredibly kind and sweet friend from church had her kiddos draw me some cards to make my heart feel better. Love you and your girls Katie! <3 <3 <3
I went to bed early because I was so tired. Crazy Friday night as a single woman, I know.
I woke up super early Saturday morning thanks to Owens whimpering to let him out to pee.
I also got some snuggles in with Annie while the coffee was brewing.
Second cup of coffee enjoyed with a pancake my mom made. I ate about half and called it quits. Learning to listen to your body is KEY if I have learned anything these last few years. Sometimes you want a full breakfast, sometimes you aren’t that hungry.
After several hours of errands with my parents, Hannah came over to take some pictures for me! I finally have a decent headshot to send out to people!
P.S. she did my makeup and I don’t know how she is so good at that? I severely lack in that department.
Look at Owen getting his close-up!
When Hannah left I immediately changed into sweats and inhaled some cotton candy grapes. These are my favorite types of grapes.
I also snapped some shots of my current favorite Beautycounter products. I love supporting companies that are all about clean and natural products. The beautiful Meredith dropped off the biodegradable wipes for me to try on Friday because she is a SWEETHEART! Thank you Meredith! These wipes take off all my makeup and leave my skin feeling so soft. The makeup is the “Flawless under Five” collection. I am all about minimal makeup so this collection is right up my alley.
Sunday morning started bright and early. I woke up super early so I could treat myself to a coffee from Starbucks before I taught Sunday School to my little kiddos…I know, not the best Orthodox Christian but I needed some “me” time.
When I got home I had another cup of coffee and enjoyed one of muffins: click HERE. They were delicious!
For dinner that night, my mom and I whipped up a vegetable soup! Whole wheat crackers on the side.
My Sunday night ended snuggled up with my mom and sister while we watched Jane the Virgin and Royal Pains while eating Halo Top ice cream. Just what I needed <3
Monday started bright and early with a run on the treadmill! I blasted Drake the whole time to keep me going. I told myself I was NOT going to be depressed and listen to Taylor Swift on repeat the next few months to cope with the breakup…so Drake it is!
I had to babysit most of the day and I enjoyed a BIG salad while the baby was sleeping. This salad had carrots, radishes, snap peas, spinach, romaine, sauerkraut, and Primal Kitchen Honey Mustard Vinaigrette.
I came home Monday night so, sooo tired. I got a little homework done and passed out early after eating a black bean burger and sweet potato fries.
I hope you all have a wonderful rest of your week! Thanks for stopping by the blog today.
