First of all… be prepared for an obnoxious amount of fall pictures. I CANNOT get over this fall weather and all the beautiful leaves.
I hope you all had a wonderful weekend and took some time to do something for yourself or be with your loved ones.
I got to spend some time with my favorite person in the world, Barrett!
Let’s take this recap back to last Thursday though. The day was pretty uneventful. I went to work and then went to school but during my first class I started to feel sick. I ended going home because lady problems (tmi) were making me feel incredibly tired/gross/sick. I went home took a nap and then walked 3 miles on the treadmill while reading some blogs. That made me feel 100% better!
I also ended up going to Spencer’s with Danica for some coffee, chitchat, and to do some homework.
Almond milk latte and Pumpkin Spice RX bar for me!
Thursday night ended with lots and lots of studying and homework!
Friday morning I woke up at 4:30 and drank half of this drinking vinegar to put a little pep in my step before my workout at 5:15. I worked out for an hour and then got ready for the day!
I also followed my mom over to Panera for some coffee before I headed to class.
I got out of class around 1:30 and headed to grab my stuff at home for a night with Barrett. I also stopped at the public library for some books to read while on my way to his parents house.
I was soooo happy to see him! I met him at his parents house and picked him up so we could head to his house in Nashville. Around 6, we headed to Turnip Truck to pick up some dinner from their hot bar.
I got 2 small vegan sushi rolls, 2 meat balls, a small chicken wing, kale, and some winter squash. We also ate some Nacho Siete chips on the side!
The plan was to stay up and watch movies together but our plans fell through. I don’t really want to talk about it because something happened that I am trying to work through. I get easily upset when plans don’t go the way you wanted them to go. I know, it is immature of me and it is something I work on. So let’s just say, Friday night was not my night. Luckly it was nothing Barrett did. He is so wonderful and he always knows how to make me feel better when I am upset at something/someone!
Ladies, find you someone who knows your personality inside and out and loves you, challenges you, and accepts you for all that you are!
Let’s move on to Saturday because it was SOOO much better than Friday night.
Barrett and I woke up around 8 and walked to breakfast. We headed to The Post East because it is the closest walking distance wise, and it’s delicious!
I got a cold brew (because it was like 75 degrees already) and a smoothie for Barrett and I to share.
I joked that I didn’t have enough liquids to choose from š
I also got a quiche to eat and Barrett got the breakfast sandwhich. Both were INCREDIBLE.
After walking back we got ready to do some errands! I wanted a new pair of walking shoes! I found some at the Nashville running store in East Nashville and I LOVE them. Brooks are my favorite walking and running shoes. My ankles roll inwards so I wanted a sturdy shoe with a lot of support. After finding the perfect shoes, Barrett and I walked around some more and then headed to the Urban Juicer for a quick lunch.
I also picked up some gingerbread cookies to snack on! Too soon? NEVER.
We made our way back to Bowling Green and went for a long walk. Can you tell I love walking lately? Plus, I wanted to test out my new walking shoes! We spent most of the walk talking about what happened Friday night. I love that kid. He always knows what to say and what advice to give!
When we got back, I made us a snack plate. 1 egg scrambled, thin slices grassfed cheese, 1/2 an apple, and some mixed nuts.
I had to get ready for babysitting so I did that while Barrett did some sprints outside!
I babysat from 5 pm to 1 am and let me tell ya, I WAS EXHAUSTED. I’ll show you my dinner! Leftover turkey mixture (recipe Wednesday!) over some arugula and some salsa.
I finally made it to bed around 2 am and woke up at 7:30 to get to church to teach Sunday school. I love my Sunday school kiddos š They always start my week off right!
After church Barrett and I picked up some Panera to eat on the way to his parents so I could bring him back to his car. He had to be at work by 2 in Nashville so after I dropped him off I headed back home (incredibly sad to have left him!)
Once I got home I could not get over the weather! I took so many pictures of the road by our house. The wind was blowing, the sun was shining, and the leaves were golden!
I spent the rest of evening watching Jane the Virgin with my mom, drinking wine, and eating a delicious brisket with kale, potatoes, and peas n’ carrots.
Have a wonderful week! I will have a PALEO recipe for you Wednesday <3
