It’s Wednesday! How’s your week going? So far, mine is off to a good start. Classes are starting back up and we celebrated Noah’s birthday yesterday. I can’t believe how old he’s getting!
As always, I am sharing with you what I ate yesterday to hopefully inspire you! Eating healthy doesn’t have to be “hard” or time-consuming. All the meals I eat are quick, easy, and require little thought. Yes, to me, birthday cake is apart of a “healthy” lifestyle. We can all make room in our life to enjoy cake a couple of times a year. I’ve done the whole “stressing out about calories” thing, and it’s not fun, so cake it is!
For breakfast I had a slice of sprouted bread with all-natural peanut butter. I haven’t been eating a very big breakfast lately because my stomach has NOT wanted anything. LISTEN to your body. Some days I crave eggs and bacon and some days I just want a granola bar. This morning, all I wanted was a spoonful of peanut butter but I knew my body needed a little more energy than that for my Crossfit workout later so I added some toast in.
After I got out of class I had a kid’s RX bar.
While dinner was cooking, I had a few handfuls of avocado oil potato chips and a glass of wine.
Burger night for Noah’s birthday! I usually eat a bunless burger because I HATE bread with burgers. Once again, listen to your body. I had my burger with 1/2 slice of bacon, spinach, tomato, onion, pickle, and some ketchup and spicy mustard. I also had some mac n’ cheese and baked beans because I rarely eat them!
Ding-Dong cake! My mom made a special Ding-Dong cake for Noah topped with M&M’s and she served it with a scoop of ice cream. I had a few bites of mine and had to call it quits it was so sweet. Ok, last time, LISTEN to your body. You don’t have to eat a whole slice of cake just because everyone else is. And the same goes for if you want to eat a whole slice of cake and then get another slice. DO what YOUR body wants.
