First things first, HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to the actual definition of marriage, my parents. You guys are the perfect example of what it means to have a marriage filled with love, honesty, respect, sacrifice, and above all, you teach us what it means to put GOD in the absolute center of your relationship. You guys are everything. Your marriage is so GOOD and pure and beautiful. You inspire me everyday. I love you guys.
The weekend went by so fast! I didn’t have a lot going on which was nice but at the same time I felt exhausted the whole weekend. I’m not sure what that was about, but I just made sure to lay down and shut my eyes a lot. Let’s back this up to last Friday!
Friday afternoon I went to Crossfit and we did 2390582 squat cleans. Not to toot my own horn…but TOOT TOOT because I got a PR on my squat clean!!
I was EXHAUSTED after that workout. I went to work and then immediately came home to lay down. My mom and I watched the final episode of season 3 on Jane the Virgin and of course, we bawled our eyes out. Why is that show so good and real?!? It gives me all the emotions!
Once Barrett got off work, he picked me up so we could grab dinner before heading to his parents farm. They were out-of-town so Barrett had to feed the animals and I was just along to keep him company! We went to Azzip Pizza and I got the gluten-free crust with pesto, all natural bacon, and every vegetable they had. It was amazing! They have the best gluten-free crust I have ever had.
Their pizza’s are pretty big in my opinion so you could easily split one. Luckily, I’m dating a guy who believes in “no food left behind” so he finished off both of our pizzas.
After we finished feeding the animals, we headed back to my house to watch the latest episode of Suits! We are obsessed with that show.
Saturday morning I woke up and ate breakfast with my parents. We had plans to help my cousins fix up their new house so we got ready for that after breakfast. After about an hour of cleaning, I took a snack break. Peanut butter chocolate Lara Bar for me!
I am so excited for my cousins. Their house is adorable and they have this great view as your drive to their house:
After we finished cleaning, my mom and I ran a couple of errands and picked up some Chick-fil-a for lunch. I tried their diet watermelon mint lemonade because I wanted something refreshing. This drink was SO SWEET and SO TART. I could only get down a few sips.
After my mom’s hair appointment we went for a walk.
After our walk, we headed back home. We both relaxed outside for a little while with drinks and our books.
Later I went to Kroger with my mom and brother. We picked up a rotisserie chicken for dinner. I made a little salad to enjoy outside.
Then, I made some popcorn and M&M’s to end the night while watching New Girl with my mom and sister.
Danica and I both fell asleep on the couch Saturday night so I woke up Sunday morning like, where am I? Haha. After realizing I was in fact on the couch in my own home, I got ready for church!
How beautiful was yesterday’s weather?! After church my family and I went to Wild Eggs. Our meal ended up taking forever so my mom and I got our’s to go since we had to go to Adopt-A-Highway. After Adopt-A-Highway I took a long, hot shower and put on my comfiest clothes. The weather was so nice, I went outside to take a nap. After my nap I had an iced coffee and some fresh fruit.
After relaxing some more outside, my family and I had dinner. Roast with Tessemae’s ranch over arugula, a potato with some grassfed butter, and a few peas and carrots.
After dinner, Barrett came over. We didn’t get to hang out much because I fell asleep at 9:30…I’m lame.
Hope you all had a great weekend!! I will have a recipe for you Wednesday!
