Hi!! I know I have been slacking on the blog lately but I am hoping to change that this week! Things have been hectic at school/getting a new job/ etc. but today is a new day and I am ready for the week.
This weekend was one of the best and I can’t wait to tell you about it!
Friday I only had morning classes and it was dreary/rainy so basically it was a prefect day!
I came home from class and did not leave the couch. I was so lazy and it was WONDERFUL. Sometimes being lazy is the best.
And what’s a Friday night without pizza? Amy’s organic pesto pizza for the win.
Saturday morning I woke up early to get ready for a full day with Barrett. He came by around 9 to pick me up for breakfast at JD Bakery.
There was bacon hiding under there…
I could only eat about half of this and a couple bites of toast because we split a PB granola bar beforehand.
After breakfast, we went to the Kentucky museum on WKU’s campus. I had never been before and was looking forward to it. I thought it was neat they had Orthodox icons on display.
We spent a couple of hours at the museum and then made our way to Jackson’s Orchard. It was another gloomy/breezy day and I absolutely loved it.
We each got hot apple cider and a caramel apple to split. We walked around for a while and were disappointed to see that they only accept cash for the corn maze 🙁
So we used our credit cards to buy apples, pumpkin butter, cheese, and an acorn squash.
We were starting to get pretty tired so we decided to stop at Home Cafe for a late lunch. We split a salad and some mac and cheese.
After lunch, we walked around Nats for a bit and then went over to Breck’s Bicycle shop so I could buy Barrett his birthday gift!
We finally made our way back to my house and watched some TV before heading to church. After Vespers we went to get Indian food with Barrett’s brother. (Thank you Brian!!) I forgot to take a picture but the food was pretty good! I had the chana masala.
Barrett dropped me back off at my house and I watched Netflix until I fell asleep.
Saturday could not have been anymore perfect. <3 Thank you Barrett for the best day!
On Sunday, I woke up early to get to Church and teach Sunday School with Barrett. After church was over I left pretty quickly so that I could get home to work on some homework.
Most of the day looked like this:
And I took breaks to eat…
Brunch of eggs, sprouted toast, and pumpkin butter.
Dinner was leftover sarma, an apple from Jackson’s orchard and dessert was candy corn and peanuts.
I went to bed pretty early to catch up on sleep and prepare myself for this morning’s 4:45 alarm clock and a Crossfit workout.
I then came home to this beauty:
Have the best day!!
