This weekend was all about REST. Finals week was definitely a struggle but I successfully (and barely) passed my classes. C’s get degrees, right? Right.
Anyways, lets go back to last Thursday. I had finished my last final and all I wanted was comfort food and trashy TV. So obviously I snuggled up on my parent’s couch with my mom’s HOMEMADE lasagna and watched the Kardashians.
That woman knows how to cook, let me tell ya.
Amen.
Friday my sister and I went on a sister date and I successfully spent all of my paycheck at Target. But what’s new?
How cute is she without her braces? She now looks older than me, yay.
We spent Friday night eating pizza and watching Scandal.
Saturday, my favorite person on the entire planet and I went out for breakfast to celebrate his graduation. Although he does have one more class to take this summer.
Don’t let that beautiful muffin deceive you, the inside wasn’t even cooked. Disappointment. Everything else was delicious though! I had the omelette with every vegetable possible and Barrett had a burrito the size of my face. And I have a big face.
I also gave him his graduation present so now he can look like a pro while he is out mountain biking. (I’m sure he really appreciates all the photos I put of him on here)
Later in the day we went to a wedding to celebrate one of Barrett’s high school friends.
I mean seriously, he is so cute!!
Later that night I think I passed out around 11 and woke up the next morning at 11. Which means I missed church!!! That never happens. Like ever. I think my body was still trying to catch up from all the sleep I missed last week. I said a quick apology prayer to God, promised to spend some quality time with my Bible later, and booked it to church to work on the Community Garden.
I went back to my parent’s house later in the day and made this delicious lunch/snack plate because I was STARVING.
Eating something quick and healthy doesn’t have to be hard. I think it took me two minutes to pull everything out of the fridge and chop it up. SO GOOD.
I don’t have any pictures of this, but I spent the rest of the evening at my parents. The weather could not have been more perfect. My BFF mom and I went on a walk, my dad cooked up some burgers/salmon burgers, Barrett came over, we ate cool whip cake, and I went home smiling and thanking God for this super blessed life I live.
THANK YOU all for reading. I hope your weekend was just as great! <3
Oh, and P.S. here was my breakfast this morning:
